Client Development Associate
Job Description
The Client Development Associate position is a sales role with an extensive training and development timeline. Although the position is posted as entry-level, experienced sales candidates will be considered for the role.
The primary task of the Client Development Associate is to establish relationships with prospective clients, educate them on the services, capabilities, and support that Fauchard Investments offers, and to carry that relationship through to new client onboarding, with a warm handoff to a Fauchard Investments Wealth Manager or Associate Wealth Manager.
New client acquisition at Fauchard Investments centers on firm-sponsored dinner seminars. This position owns that engine end to end — the calls that fill the room, helping to manage and run the evening itself, the follow-up that turns an attendee into a meeting, and the meeting that turns into a client. You will attend the dinner seminars along with the Principal, watching and learning how they work and how to give them. You will help engage with attendees both before and after the seminar, representing Fauchard Investments and helping to convert prospective clients into clients.
Your first year
- Build a territory of dental practices and work it by phone: seminar invitations, practice introductions, and consistent repeat contact.
- Fill the firm’s dinner seminars — invitations, RSVPs, confirmations, and attendance.
- Run the events: venue logistics, registration, materials, and day-of execution.
- Follow up with every attendee and convert interest into a scheduled meeting.
- Keep contact records accurate and current, and track outreach, attendance, and conversion so the firm can measure and improve the program.
- Pass the Series 65.
As the role matures
This position is built to expand:
- Present the firm’s dinner seminars — first in part with the Principal, then in full under supervision, before finally running them solo with an Associate helping you.
- Conduct introductory meetings with the Principal and prospective clients and carry them through becoming clients; as with the seminars, it will be a slow handoff to running these solo.
- Represent the firm at dental-industry events and conferences.
- Own the new-business pipeline: territory selection, campaign design, and conversion.
What we are looking for
- Comfort initiating conversations by phone and in person. Persistence, comfort or a willingness to develop comfort standing in front of a room.
- Experience in business development, outreach, events, hospitality, or another client-facing role preferred but not required.
- Organization and reliability in managing event logistics and multiple deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication, and presence in front of a room.
- Willingness to travel and to work evenings on seminar nights.
- An ability to learn and speak to complicated subject matter; a willingness to adapt.
- Professional judgment and discretion when representing a financial firm to the public.
- Candidates will need to pass the Series 65 exam.
Prior financial services experience is not required. This is not a wealth management position; you will not be expected to manage client portfolios, execute trades, or maintain long-term existing client relationships. The firm trains on its process, its systems, and the dental market.
What we offer
The firm offers a competitive base salary and a benefits package that includes:
- Health, dental, and vision insurance, with the firm paying the substantial majority of the premium.
- 401(k) with employer match.
- Paid time off and paid holidays.
- Paid parental leave.
- Company-issued laptop and home office setup.
- Firm-paid Series 65 exam preparation, exam fees, and licensing costs.
- Firm-paid travel for training, seminars, and firm events.
Practical details
- Location. Ohio, although other areas of the Midwest will be considered for the right candidate. Regular travel within the state, and eventually beyond it, for seminars, practice visits, conferences, and firm events.
- Hours. Full-time. Dinner seminars are evening events.
- Travel. Firm-paid. Includes in-person onboarding in Columbus.
- Licensing. You will need to pass the Series 65.
- Measurement. Activity and pipeline are tracked from day one — calls, seminar attendance, meetings booked, and agreements signed.
- Hiring emphasis. Drive, communication, coachability, and evidence of closing are weighted more heavily than prior finance experience. Sales experience is a plus.
Associate Wealth Manager
Job Description
The Associate Wealth Manager supports and executes the firm’s investment-management and financial-planning work for clients. This is not a sales role; the Associate Wealth Manager will be thoroughly trained in markets, trading, money management, financial and practice planning, and will be expected to retain and support existing Fauchard Investments clients. You will not be expected to secure new client relationships.
Additionally, this role will help onboard new clients that you will then care for as your skills and training advance. This will involve attending dinner seminars, calling dental practices to invite dentists to attend the seminars, and adding prospective client meetings with the Principal or a Client Development Director to ensure the clients you care for are familiar with you from their first contact with Fauchard Investments. This role involves building and strengthening relationships with Fauchard Investments clients intended to last for decades.
What you will do
- Support and eventually execute the preparation of financial plans and portfolio reviews.
- Gather and organize client information and maintain accurate, well-documented client records.
- Help prepare meeting materials and follow up on action items from client meetings.
- Coordinate operational tasks such as account paperwork, data entry, and service requests.
- Execute trades at the direction of the principal.
- Call pre-selected dental practices to invite the dentist to dinner seminars.
- Conduct research and analysis to support planning and portfolio work.
How the role grows
This is an entry-level position with a defined path into a full Wealth Manager position. As the associate’s training and development progress, your involvement in dinner seminars and new client onboarding will diminish and your focus will shift towards maintaining and nurturing existing relationships and overseeing the execution of their investment and financial plans.
What we are looking for
- A bachelor’s degree, and a strong interest in long-term relationship building.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in working with financial data.
- Clear written and verbal communication and a professional, client-service orientation.
- Sound judgment and a commitment to acting in clients’ interests.
- Candidates will need to pass the Series 65 exam, and eventually earn a CFP or comparable designation.
Prior financial services experience is not required. The firm trains on its process, its systems, and the dental market.

- Firm-paid Series 65 exam preparation, exam fees, and licensing costs.
