Privacy Notice

Fauchard Investments, LLC — Revised August 2026

Fauchard Investments, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a fee-only investment adviser. Protecting the privacy and security of your information is fundamental to our relationship with you. This notice explains what nonpublic personal information we collect, how we use and share it, how we protect it, and the choices available to you. We provide this notice when you become a client and at least once a year while you are a client.

Information we collect

We collect nonpublic personal information about you only as needed to provide investment advisory and financial planning services. Depending on the services you request, this may include:

  • Information you provide to us directly — for example, your name, contact details, date of birth, family and household details, employment and income, financial goals, and the information you share on applications, questionnaires, and planning intake forms.
  • Information about your transactions and accounts with us and with the custodian that holds your assets — for example, account balances, holdings, account activity, and the figures needed to prepare your plan and reports.
  • Information we receive from others at your direction or with your authorization — for example, statements, tax documents you choose to share, or information from your accountant, attorney, or the custodian.

To open and service your account, the custodian requires certain identifiers, which may include a Social Security or taxpayer identification number. We use that number to complete the custodian’s account paperwork for transmission to the custodian. Where a Social Security number is retained for that purpose, it is stored in encrypted form with access restricted, logged, and limited to a named purpose; our retained copies of forms are redacted before they are stored.

Your accounts are held by a qualified custodian (Charles Schwab), which executes transactions in your accounts and issues your account statements and tax forms.

How we use your information

We use your nonpublic personal information to:

  • Provide investment advisory, portfolio-management, and financial-planning services, including practice-level planning.
  • Open, maintain, service, and report on the accounts held for you at the qualified custodian.
  • Prepare your plan, reports, meeting materials, and client records.
  • Communicate with you and respond to your requests.
  • Maintain the books and records we are required to keep, and supervise, test, and improve our services.
  • Comply with our legal, regulatory, and security obligations and protect against fraud.

Information we share

We do not sell your information, and we do not share your information with anyone for their own marketing. We share nonpublic personal information only as needed to serve you and operate the firm, and only as permitted by law.

The categories we disclose are the ones described above: identifying and contact information; account, holdings, and transaction information; and the financial and planning information you provide. We disclose only what a given recipient needs for the purpose it is given, and no more.

  • With the custodian that holds your accounts, and with other financial institutions involved in a transaction you have requested, so that your accounts can be opened, maintained, and serviced and your transactions processed.
  • With service providers that perform services or functions on our behalf — such as technology, portfolio-reporting, document-management, and administrative providers. These providers are permitted to use your information only to perform those services for us and are bound by confidentiality obligations; they may not use it for their own purposes.
  • As required or permitted by law — for example, to comply with a subpoena or a request from a regulator or other government authority, to respond to legal process, or to protect against fraud, unauthorized transactions, or other liability.

We do not disclose nonpublic personal information about you to any other party except as described above.

Former clients. If you close your account or end your relationship with us, we continue to handle your nonpublic personal information under this same notice, and we share it only as described above and as required by law.

Your choices

We share your information only to service your accounts, with service providers under confidentiality obligations, and as required or permitted by law. We do not share it with our affiliates. Sharing of these kinds carries no right to opt out, so there is nothing you need to do. If that ever changes, we will send you a revised notice and the opportunity to limit sharing before we share your information in the new way.

How we protect your information

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards that are designed to protect your nonpublic personal information. These include limiting access to your information to people who need it to provide services to you, encrypting information in transit and at rest, requiring strong authentication for access to our systems, overseeing the service providers that handle information on our behalf, and maintaining written information-security and incident-response programs. No system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Information from this website and our online tools

When you use a calculator or diagnostic tool on this site, your inputs and results are anonymous: they are not associated with your name, email address, or anything else that identifies you.

A first-party cookie holds a random identifier marking whether a tool has been used from the same browser before, so repeat entries can be weighted correctly as we refine our benchmarks. It identifies a browser, not a person, and is not used for advertising.

If you ask an advisor to review your results, we use your name, email, and which tool you used to contact you. The figures you entered stay anonymous and are not attached to that request.

We do not sell information collected through this site or share it with third parties for their marketing.

How and when we deliver this notice

We provide this notice to you when you begin your advisory relationship with us and at least once each year for as long as you remain a client. If any of the information in this notice becomes inaccurate, we will promptly update it and deliver the revised notice to you.
